You are being invited to spend money, not just as a guest in her home, so the obligation to bring a hostess gift is not in this equation. I think she just wants you to bring your checkbook so you can buy a rather expensive candle or two!
the host is getting a commission on anything you buy, so you have no obligation to bring a gift. the best gift you can give her is to buy a lot of merchandise.
Just Bring yourself!!! If you buy product from her party, then she is receiving credit off your order. That is the main reasons why she is having her party, to receive free product. how about a pass for a day spa, or a voucher for a good massage. after hosting a big party the best gift for them is relaxation!
I agree with the first answer. When I attend one of those parties or Tupperware, jewelry, whatever.. I always purchase at least one item so they get some money from it toward whatever merchandise they choose at the end.
Gifts are not required at these kind of parties. The best thing that you can do for your friend is buy some candles, or book your own party. Just sit back and enjoy smelling some great candles!!!!
