if your using command prompt (which i doubt) to upload then its 1 file at a time, uploading of entire directies is dependant on the ftp software you are using, some support it some dont
In DW's main menu, go to 'site and select 'Manage Site', choose your site and press 'edit'. Site defination box appears. Here, select 'Remote Info' On the right hand side, select 'FTP' from the Access drop down menu. Type in your FTP Host like www.yourdomain.com. Type the name of the Host Directory (If you ae not sure about this, check any other ftp cleint like LeachFTP to find the actaul directory where all your pages will be saved). Next, provide login name and password for your FTP account. Select 'Save' check box. Once your dome press 'test' button to check the setting. you would get a 'sucess' msg once your are correct.
Press 'OK'
Now in DW, in left pan, where you get CSS/Application/Tag Inspector/Files option, select 'File option, se there are two buttons 'Up' and 'Down' arrow, These are for uploading and downloading from and to remote server. Once your through with website, just press 'Up Arrow' button to upload it to the remote server, for which we have done the above setting.
