Who else hated Russel Brand as the VMA host?

I thought he had his funny moments but he went too far with the promise rings and Jonas Brothers. I liked when Jordin Sparks came to their rescue. Anyway, I'm just wondering what other people thought about the LAME host and the not so great VMA's.

he is a COMEDIAN, therefor that thing he said about the promise ring was a JOKE. lighten up people. we, as a country are so overly sensitive we can't even laugh at ourselves anymore. just because most of you worship the jonas brothers does not make them important/relevant to everyone else. if he had said something about 50 cent, this thread would be non existent

Disappointing. Badly prepared. Sucky overall. Rusell was the worst VMAs host I've ever seen. How about choosing someone with TALENT next year MTV?

I think the VMA is not that good. It's very dull.

He was beyond un-funny and stupid. I really wanted someone to kick his @$$ and throw him off the stage. He was annoying me so much that I began turning the volume down whenever he started talking.

I too hate him he went WAY to far with the Jonas Brothers making it seem that the promise rings are a bad thing when it is such a good idea. They sould've just walked out.
