Does anyone know how to host a candlelight vigil?

My youth group and I want to host a candlelight vigil for World AIDS day (Dec.1), but we don't really know how to go about planning it. Does anyone know exactly what to do besides light candles and pray? Does anyone have any creative vigil ideas, we really want to make a powerful impact and bring attention to such an important cause? We need all the help we can get. Thank you.

Perhaps you can have a poster contest or a poetry contest. You can choose some poems to read at your vigil, hopefully by their authors. You can ask a person of influence in your community to support and speak at your event. You can also have people affected by AIDS to speak and share their experiences.
