I need to create a website and host it for my ebook very inexpensively any ideas?

I make a full time living selling on ebay and have written a book about what I do exactly and how to duplicate my success. I need to create a website that helps me sell my book and I need to host it somewhere, with paypal checkouts, CC processing, and have the book automatically sent when someone pays for it. How do I do this? Any reccomendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you want to have a professional online business, Microsoft Office Live Small Business is a great solution. It has 500MB storage capacity and provides free email, contact manager, etc. - everything you need to have an online presence. It has a free easy to use web designer tool which allows you to create a website without the need to know how to do HTML/CSS coding. This is a free service and Microsoft is offering a free domain name (i.e. yourdomain.com) for the first year. Try it out:

With regards to being able to process payments and allow for digital downloads, you can use Payloadz and add that to your Office Live website:

The most inexpensive idea is by using your own shopping cart. For example oscommerce. That's what i use for my eBooks.

www.raysebookshop.com

There will be some customizing involved but it's a cheap way to meet the needs you mentioned earlier.

Once oscommerce is installed you will need to get different add-ons, that will make it do exactly what you want.

There is a learning curve, it might take you a month to get it how you want.

Here is a website for ebook discussions, i recommend it as an eBook seller.

try directmatches, it's a business network -- similar to that of facebook and myspace but specifically directed at business people, you create a free profile containing a webpage/link to your site, a blog, add audio, you can even advertise via the yellow pages through this site. your profile is viewed by litterally thousands of business people on this network and will be great exposure to your ebook

best of all it's FREE! here's the link i used if you're interested

good luck

Ahh easy! :)

Find the cheap host. I'd suggest Godaddy.com or 1and1.com

Go and download: www.wordpress.org

It's extremely easy to install.

After you complete the installation go and download:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-e-commerce/

This is the plugin for Wordpress which turns that website software into the electronic shop with check outs, carts and such.

Wordpress is as I wrote earlier extremely easy to install and use eve for the beginners. :)

Hope that helps!

Sincerely,

Kaspar Phoenix

I use hostgator for my sites . They have what is called a CPanel which makes everything really easy. In the Cpanel, there is Fantastico which contains alot of scripts (shopping carts, forums, ebooks, photo galleries Etc.) that you can install with NO coding, a couple of clicks and your store will be setup. I know it has OSCommerce, Zen Cart and Cube Cart for your store fronts. You won't be disappointed if you use them, any trouble you have they keep on it til it's fixed. trust me, I used alot of hosts out there and will stick with Host Gator

I recommend Dreamhost http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html

They're the best:

1. You get a free domain from them (actually 2 if you use the promo code, more about that later), or you can use one of these free domains to transfer your existing one to Dreamhost, and extend its' registration for one more year, all for free of course.

2. They have 500 GB of Disk Space and increasing

3. 5TB (5000 GB) of Bandwidth and increasing

4. You can use their huge Disk Space and host multiple sites on a single account.

5. Their price is $119.40/year ($9.95/month if you pay yearly)

6. Which is a pretty standard price but they currently have a promotion:

Use the Promo Code: PLUS (at sign up page) and get a $50 discount + 2 Free Domain Names

7. This way you get them for $69.40/year ($5.78/month) including 2 Free Domain Names!

Install ZenCart via their installer, ZenCart supports Paypal and credit cards, plus software downloads:

I think in your case you want the total control right from starting the website to regular update in your hand. Right?

Go to yahoo small business

http://tips-ht.blogspot.com

It is very easy to do. Just pay attention to my advices.

As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website:

1- Buy a domain name.

2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name

If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.

You need a web hosting service which supports online payments like, Master Card, Visa & PayPal. It is very important that your service be uptime. It means that you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and your visitors can view your website whenever they type your website address. If your hosting service is not uptime it is real hell!

Take a look at: http:// www.threehosts .com/business

(Join the separated parts together when inputting in your address bar!)

You can also click the link below to go there:

http://www.threehosts.com/business

There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the E-commerce web hosting industry. They fulfill all your requirements to sell online. By using each of them, everything you need for your business website is provided in one eCommerce Hosting Package.

Good Luck!
