I would like to host a game on starcraft but it says to high lat I have a Net gear router please help? I tried turning off my firewall and someone said I could forward ports as well how is that done? If that may not work please help, I know its not because, I have a bad connection.

this is very easy i can't believe there are still people that still can't host starcraft even im using a netgear router and i can host well here are the steps by step if you don't understand then thats ok

1.find command prompt then type in ipconfig remember the default gateway's ip address and your last number of your ip address

2.go to your web browser and type in your defualt gateway ip which would be 192.168.0.1 then it should bring up a username and password thats where you login to your router

3.find port forwarding for applications type in starcraft and set the starting port 6112 and ending port 6112 the protocol should be set to both so all thats left is your end number of your ip address example XXX.XXX.X.10

4.save settings and logout and now you should be able to host
