Why does my computer continually lose its ability to output sound from websites that host vidoes / sound?

Every now and then I can no longer hear the sound that coming from websites that host videos whether they be embedded or hosted like youtube. The fix that I found was to reinstall adobe flash player every time this happens, but there must be a complete, absolute fix for this. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

I would try updating your sound drivers.

Have you tried to download and install the latest driver from the manufacturer? Sometimes this will solve a bunch of nagging type problems.
